Rhythm n' Flo has been a cornerstone of the Walnut Creek dance community since 2018. Founded by experienced competitive dancers and instructors, we offer classes in salsa, bachata, ballroom, hustle, west coast swing, and more — serving complete beginners through competitive-level students.

We are growing and looking for passionate people to join our team: Teaching Assistants and Studio Admin Support.
POSITION: TEACHING ASSISTANT + ADMIN SUPPORT
Part-time | 3-4 evenings per week (6-8 hours) | Walnut Creek, CA | Compensation: DOE
The Role
Our students stay for years — some for 7 or more. That loyalty doesn't come from the curriculum alone. It comes from the people on the floor who make students feel seen, challenged, and encouraged every class. That's what you'd be stepping into.
You'll work directly alongside our lead instructors in group classes — helping beginners find their footing, giving real-time corrections to intermediate students, running floor rotations, and keeping the energy alive. This is a hands-on, floor-level role, not passive observation.
What You Bring (ideally)
• 1+ years of social or competitive experience in salsa, bachata, or ballroom
• Ability to lead AND follow — versatility on the floor is essential
• Clear, warm communication that helps people feel good about improving
• Patience with beginners without lowering your standards
• Availability on 2–3 weeknights (Bonus: and at least one weekend slot)
• Genuine enthusiasm for watching others grow
• Warm, professional written communication — emails people actually enjoy receiving
• Comfort with scheduling tools, booking systems
• Instagram literacy: comfortable posting, responding to DMs, and keeping a presence active
• Strong organization that holds up under a busy, shifting schedule
• A proactive instinct — you notice what needs doing before being asked
• Genuine interest or curiosity for the dance and wellness world
What You'll Do
• Assist in group classes: salsa, bachata, ballroom, hustle, west coast swing
• Provide hands-on lead/follow corrections during partner rotations
• Help maintain the warm, welcoming energy our students come back for
• Support Tuesday and Wednesday post-class social dancing nights
• Assist with workshop logistics when guest coaches visit
• Grow toward teaching your own classes over time, if that's your goal
• Manage class bookings, private lesson scheduling, and cancellations
• Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and social DMs — promptly and warmly
• Maintain the studio calendar and coordinate instructor schedules
• Support our Instagram presence: posting content, engaging with followers
• Guide new students from first inquiry through their first class
• Help coordinate logistics for socials, workshops, and competitions
