This is a very roomy chamber. It's over 7' long, and a normal person can sit upright inside it.
General description of use: Subject lays down inside. Close the hatch. Ensure all discharge valves are closed. Put on oxygen mask. Turn on the flow of about 98% pure oxygen. Open the valve for the air compressor to pressurize the chamber. Once chamber reaches desired pressure (up to 30 psi) this takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes. Close air compressor valve. Lay in chamber and monitor pressure to ensure it doesn't go over 30 psi. regulate inside pressure by slightly opening the discharge valve. This is equipped with different levels of automatic relief valves so you can make sure it doesn't go over a certain pressure. After a treatment of up to 90 minutes slowly open the discharge valve so the pressure slowly drops back to 0 psi (ambient pressure) This slow decompression should take about 15-20 minutes. Close the oxygen valve. Then treatment is done.
Used with oxygen this will provide high level HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) as breathed through the oxygen mask inside.
This type of chamber usually costs over $30,000 just for the chamber not including the concentrator, oxygen compressor, air compressor, and tank.
