I'm a vocalist and rhythm guitarist for a north county punk band originally formed in 2004. Due to a series of events and life itself, I am reaching out to musicians to do something new. I'm looking for a solid drummer who can play with a metronome, feel out odd timing, have unique fills, maybe some vocal ability. I would also like to find a new rhythm guitarist to free me up on stage and give me the ability to focus on vocals and fronting the band. I write simple chord riffs with occasional odd time changes, lyrics, songs, and vocal melodies pretty consistently in my life. Mostly upbeat, punk rock style guitar riffs with melodic vocals, some (kind of) aggressive acoustic stuff, but nothing technical. Bass is covered. Lead guitar could very well depend on the results of this here Craigslist ad, if I'm being honest. All ideas are welcome. I have songs complete but not finished, ideas that are still just ideas, and collaborating with like minds and talented musicians is really a lot of fun and cathartic. I have realistic goals I'd like to achieve with this idea, but I'll save that for the conversations I actually have with someone. I originally had a link or band name directions to some online music, but they were not good examples of what I'm looking to do now. I have something I can send to anyone interested. TO BE CLEAR: This is NOT a paying gig. This is for the goals, the art, the shows, the musicianship, and the fun. Stay safe out there. Cheers!
