About Us:
We are a fast-paced event rental company serving Ventura and surrounding areas. Our inventory includes a wide range of furniture and event equipment that must be maintained in excellent condition. We’re looking for a skilled and reliable handyman to help repair, restore, and maintain our inventory.
Job Responsibilities:
Repair and refurbish event furniture, including wood and metal pieces
Perform carpentry tasks such as sanding, staining, cutting, and assembly
Conduct welding repairs and light fabrication as needed
Prepare surfaces and apply professional-quality paint and finishes
Inspect rental items for damage and ensure they meet quality standards
Perform general maintenance and upkeep of warehouse tools and equipment
Assist with loading/unloading and organizing inventory when needed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience in carpentry and woodworking
Working knowledge of welding techniques and equipment
Professional painting experience, including prep work, finishing, and coatings
Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of materials and structures
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Physically able to lift and move heavy items (50+ lbs)
Reliable and punctual
Preferred (but not required):
Experience in furniture repair or restoration
Familiarity with event rental equipment
Basic upholstery or finishing skills
