I’m looking for a creative, hands-on interior stylist or design student to help pull together the upstairs of my townhouse in Venice.
The space is already furnished and relatively organized, so I’m not looking for a major redesign. I need someone with a strong eye who can work with what I already own, identify what’s missing, and make everything feel more intentional, polished, and cohesive.
My style is playful contemporary/modern eclectic with pop-art influences—clean and modern, but not sterile. I love bold graphic pieces like my Keith Haring rug, pops of color, cool modern photography, sculptural lighting, and unexpected details.
* Styling and reorganizing unfinished areas
* Recommending + sourcing affordable furniture and storage/organization pieces
* Helping select modern artwork, especially photography - I have artwork pieces I like already, but need help visualizing sizes and where to hang
* Updating bedding and finishing touches
* Setting up cool, integrated colorful lighting, including red accent lighting
* Coordinating installation of lighting, artwork, a TV, and other items
* Suggesting affordable bathroom updates
* Potentially coordinating painting or applying peel-and-stick finishes/contact paper to bathroom cabinets
I own the property, so I’m open to painting and other cosmetic improvements. I’m also happy to purchase products directly and use separate installers for electrical or specialized work—I mainly need someone who can develop the vision, source pieces, and help manage everything through completion.
Budget: approximately $40–$60/hour depending on experience, or open to a reasonable project-based fee after reviewing the scope. Purchases and installation costs would be separate.
Please reply with:
* A little about your experience
* Photos, portfolio, Instagram, or examples of your aesthetic
* Your hourly rate or suggested project fee
* General availability
* Any initial ideas after viewing the photos
I’m especially open to emerging designers, design students, stylists, or highly creative organizers with a great eye who may be building their portfolio. Please message me first rather than requesting a call—I’m happy to discuss the project by text or email.
