If you know Daniel Arsham, this was a pretty special Hot Wheels series. The entire collection was built around his “future archaeology” concept, taking iconic cars and Hot Wheels designs and imagining them as artifacts discovered hundreds of years in the future. Most of the eroded cars were actually produced in Silkstone to recreate the crystallized texture of Arsham’s full-size sculptures.
This is the complete four-Lap vehicle collection:
Lap 1: Eroded Porsche 930 + Eroded Rodger Dodger
Lap 2: Porsche 356 “Bonsai” Speedster + Eroded Deora II
Lap 3: Arsham Livery Porsche 930A + Eroded Twin Mill
Lap 4: Eroded Ford Mustang + Eroded Porsche Safari
All eight vehicles are still sealed in their respective original boxes and have never been opened or displayed.
The Porsches are particularly cool. Several are based directly on Arsham’s own cars and artwork, including the Safari and the 930A race car. The collection also mixes Hot Wheels history with Arsham’s art through cars like the Twin Mill and Rodger Dodger.
Selling the complete eight-car collection together. I collected every release as it came out and would prefer to keep the full four-Lap set intact.
