This kit allows a non-Wi-Fi capable server or desktop or laptop system (with a USB port) to access your local Wi-Fi network (IEEE 802.11b/g/n). To get Wi-Fi, this USB stick has to be paired with a portable hotspot accessory (like the Cradlepoint-manufactured CLEAR Spot), which used the IEEE 802.11b/g/n standards to broadcast Wi-Fi to other devices.
This kit also allows a server or desktop or laptop system to use the Clear 4G WiMAX wireless network service (IEEE 802.16e) which is no longer supported.
