Beautiful, colorful, stunning, restorative, healing colors--Acrylic Oil Painting by Northwest artist Gary Anderson.
Framed in wood and ready to hang up in your living room or master bedroom....... Stunning surreal portrait of Orcas Island!
Bought at the Portland Art Museum for $2800.00 twenty years ago and it's been hanging above our fireplace since then.
We have had many wonderful compliments about its graceful and enriching beauty--replacing with a family sculpture.
It has been a great topic of artistic, aesthetic beauty and conversation ...
A beautiful Christmas present for a loved one who needs joy and healing,,,
Hope you and your family and guests will enjoy it as much as we have!
Artist statement: "The mystery and color, light and shapes in the landscape inspire me. My objective as the artist is to capture visual illusion, one that I have perceived, and give the viewer a chance to look at it through my eyes."
The waters of Puget Sound inspire Anderson, working mainly in acrylic on canvas. He uses brushes, palette knives, charcoal, and layering of transparent and opaque glazes to establish the desired images and effect.
Will be a stunning, calming and healing icon in your home, perhaps above your fireplace too!
Anderson captures the soul of Puget Sound in all of its brilliance, tranquility, and multi-dimensional quality...Truly a masterpiece!
