Experienced data scientist offering statistics tutoring. I hold degrees in statistics from North Carolina State University and Harvard with experience as the lead teaching assistant for Harvard's Introduction to Data Science course.
Are you struggling with statistics? I offer one-on-one and group tutoring for high school AP Statistics and college-level statistics, with an emphasis on understanding the concepts and not just memorizing formulas. Whether it is homework, test preparation, or cementing your understanding of statistical concepts, I can help!
AP Statistics
My services prepare you for the AP Statistics exam. I will cover descriptive and inferential statistics diving into the key concepts of probability, sampling distributions, and hypothesis testing. We will cover a variety of concepts including important statistical models, linear regression, and interpretation framed as AP level test questions.
College Statistics
Tutoring is offered for introductory and intermediate college statistics. With me you will gain a practical and mathematical understanding of statistics that will prime you for future success in learning statistical concepts. My belief is that statistical understanding is cumulative. Ultimately your course work will dictate the content, but each partnership will begin with a basic review of necessary statistical concepts to shore up your understanding of statistics.
Rather than giving you the answers, my goal is for you to understand why each statistical method works, when to use it, and how to interpret the results. The pace and scope of your tutoring will be tailored to your individual needs.
Rates begin at $40/hour for AP Statistics and $50/hour for college statistics. Discounts are offered for groups larger than 3 people. Travel may require extra cost. Reach out through Craigslist with your course level, topics you need help with, and your general availability for tutoring.
