Antique Charles P. Limbert Company child’s rocking chair dating to the early 20th century, approximately circa 1905–1915.
Constructed of oak in the classic American Arts & Crafts / Mission style with broad arms, exposed pegged joinery, slat back and curved rocking runners.
The underside of one arm retains the original branded maker’s mark reading “Limbert’s Arts & Crafts Furniture” with Grand Rapids and Holland, Michigan.
Measures approximately:
20 1/2" tall
17" wide
20" deep
An unusually small child-sized example of Limbert furniture and an appealing piece for an Arts & Crafts, Mission or early American furniture collection.
Condition is antique and used. HAS ORIGINAL FINISH. The wooden seat has a visible old repair/separation running through the center, as shown in the photographs. There are scratches, finish wear, edge wear, small marks and other signs of age and use throughout. Chair remains a very attractive original example.
