I've been mixing on these for the last few years, and they are set up in my mix room right now (first photo, taken October 2026). Time to pass them on to a room that'll actually use them.
The sale is the Pelonis pair and their matched rack amp only. The console, the Yamahas, the foam pads and everything else in the room shot stay with me.
If you're shopping nearfields at this price you already know what the Pelonis 4288 MKII is. Hand-built by Chris Pelonis up in Santa Barbara. Coincident-source design: 4" dual-concentric tweeter/midrange over an 8" woofer per cabinet, driven by the matched 1U rack amp that comes with them. New retail is $5,200/pair.
I bought them new from Westlake Pro down here in LA. The original Westlake retail tag is still on them (SKU PELM4288MKII).
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THEM
- The midrange sits dead flat. Vocals land exactly where I put them.
- The coincident dual-concentric driver locks in imaging once you find the sweet spot, true point-source response.
- Zero ear fatigue on long sessions, which is why I picked them over Genelec / Focal / ATC in the room.
- Reach down to 28 Hz cleanly, full-range without a sub if your room can handle it.
SPECS
- System: 4" dual-concentric + 8" woofer, 2-way
- Frequency response: 28 Hz to 36 kHz (+/-3 dB)

CONDITION: VERY GOOD
- Serviced in September 2026 and back in daily use in my room since. Both cabinets and the amp are working.
- Some wear and tear from years of use in the form of light scuffs and small dings on the cabinets. Nothing structural.
