Where did maple extract go? If you look in the spice aisle of your local grocery store, it's not there. Could it be the strong New England maple syrup lobby keeping it off of the shelves? And now with Canadian tariffs on maple syrup, will this be even more scarce? Whatever the reason, I couldn't find this extract, which my mother used to make tasty maple syrup from sugar when we were kids. Now I'd like to make it with my choice of sweeteners, such as Monkfruit, Stevia or Xylitol. It's criminal that they make it tough to find, but I found a closeout source and bought a bunch of this name-brand extract, since that was the only way I could - even Walmart wanted $12 a bottle. I'm selling the excess for $4 a bottle, or three for $10. The expiration date (I've used waaaay old extracts in the past with no ill effects, likely due to the alcohol in 'em) is October of 2025, giving you plenty of time to use it for making anything maple-flavored. Cash only.
