We are an established Los Angeles general contractor looking for a HIGHLY EXPERIENCED, MULTI-TRADE CONSTRUCTION PROFESSIONAL who can be assigned a job and get it done independently from start to finish.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL HANDYMAN OR HELPER POSITION.
We are NOT looking for someone who has done basic repairs for a couple of years or only knows one or two trades.
We need an experienced construction professional with strong hands-on knowledge across MULTIPLE trades who can troubleshoot problems, determine what materials are needed, perform quality work, and complete jobs without constant supervision.
Our company works on:
• Apartment buildings and apartment unit repairs
• Commercial buildings
• Restaurants
• Offices
• Retail spaces
• Tenant improvements (TI)
• Remodels and renovations
• Building maintenance and repair projects
YOU MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN MULTIPLE TRADES.
Strong candidates should have substantial experience with many of the following:
🔧 PLUMBING – troubleshooting leaks, replacing shower valves, faucets, toilets, angle stops, fixtures, supply and drain repairs, and other plumbing work
⚡ ELECTRICAL – troubleshooting, outlets, switches, circuits, lighting, recessed lights, fixtures and other electrical work
🔨 CARPENTRY – rough and finish carpentry, framing, trim, baseboards, molding and general construction
🗄️ CABINETS – installation, adjustments, modifications and repairs
🧱 DRYWALL – installation, repairs, patching, taping and texture matching
🎨 PAINTING – professional interior/exterior preparation and painting
🏢 APARTMENT / COMMERCIAL BUILDING REPAIRS – diagnosing and completing a wide variety of maintenance and repair work
🚧 TENANT IMPROVEMENTS / REMODELING – ability to work through multiple phases of a construction project and deliver quality finished work
Experience with tile, flooring, concrete/masonry and additional trades is a major plus.
WHAT WE REALLY NEED:
We need someone we can send to a property or construction project, explain what needs to be accomplished, and trust that you can take ownership of the job and get it completed correctly.
You should be able to:
• Diagnose construction and maintenance problems
• Determine the proper repair
• Make a material list
• Work independently without constant supervision
• Coordinate the different steps of a job
• Perform multiple trades yourself
• Produce clean, professional finished work
• Complete projects efficiently from start to finish
• Communicate professionally with management, tenants and customers
If your experience is primarily as a helper, laborer, or basic handyman, this position is NOT a good fit.
REQUIREMENTS:
✓ Extensive hands-on construction experience
✓ Strong skills in MULTIPLE trades – not just one or two
✓ Commercial and/or apartment building experience
✓ Own professional tools
✓ Own reliable truck/work vehicle
✓ Valid driver’s license
✓ Smartphone with internet access
✓ Dependable and punctual
✓ Able to work independently
✓ Able to safely perform the physical requirements of construction work
✓ Professional appearance and attitude
✓ Legally authorized to work in the United States
English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
Ability to read plans and construction drawings is a plus.
Pay is based on REAL EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY.
