sits on the pedestal. can be used without. easy store due to being in two section. can also be screwed together for safety if needed
painted with chevron pattern. metal knobs.
paint job is not perfect but it's pretty good - some bleed (I didn't do it, I bought it off of a furniture seller - I would have made way more of a mess of it). Back is wood but also painted so no make stamp.
