This large home is shared with one other person. It is the best of both worlds: there is plenty of space and privacy and the rent is much lower than an apartment. You may often have the entire house to yourself. The large kitchen, dining and living room are shared but each room has its own bedroom and bathroom.
Located in the walkable Vista, a neighborhood in Vallejo that is known for its friendliness and old beautiful homes, the house is comfortable and nicely furnished.
There is a large back yard with roses and wicker furniture where one can watch the birds feeding at the bird sanctuary.
About me: I am a senior, in and out, often on the East Coast with grandkids. When I’m here, I tend to be taking care of the garden or working on the computer. I am involved with the community and am progressive.
I am in the middle of moving to a house nearby, so at a future date there may be another roommate with their own "suite".
The ideal person is mature, responsible, quiet, can communicate when necessary and will take good care of their space. The house is kept clean so it helps if you are a little OCD. There are some shared chores or, alternatively, shared cost for a house cleaner. Values are quiet and considerate but nice.
There is no smoking on the property and pets aren't allowed. Scents are discouraged. There is a limit of one person to the room.
Rent is $1500. Deposit is $1500. Utilities are shared. Minimum of two months stay which can be renewed.
