This mirror was originally the door for a 124-year-old (see image) armoire. The rest of the armoire was beyond repair, but I managed to rescue the door/mirror.
The piece measures 57” X 21 ½” (+/-) overall. The mirror is 48 ½” X 15” (+/-). The mirror has some defects, but it is 124 yrs old. The frame has been taken to bare wood, repaired, and a couple missing trim pieces replaced. It has 8 coats of satin lacquer. I added rubber feet to the bottom to prevent slipping. Since the back board was destroyed, I added a “window” to the replacement back board so the original maker’s mark can be seen (see image).
Mirrors similar to this, but less detailed, sell for $300.00 and up, plus shipping on ebay. My price takes into consideration the condition of the mirror, requires no shipping, if you pick it up, and is negotiable. It’s heavy so bring help. A protective pad is recommended.
