Fully functional custom-built 3D printer with a large **300 × 200 × 275 mm build volume**. It prints PLA and PETG beautifully and is ready for its next owner/tinkerer.
I originally built this machine several years ago based on the open-source D-Bot design. As I learned more about 3D printing, I continually upgraded and refined it. At this point, it has considerably more in common with a Voron Trident than the original D-Bot.
Hardware
1. Duet 2 WiFi controller with onboard stepper drivers
2. Duex v0.11 daughterboard for additional stepper drivers
3. 360W 120V/12V power supply
4. 120V heated bed - silicone heater and thermistor
5. Properly rated SSR for AC bed control
6. Machined 6061 aluminum tooling plate
7. Heavily braced frame constructed from 2040 and 2020 aluminum extrusion
8. Orbiter 1.5 extruder
9. E3D V6 hotend with 0.40 mm hardened-steel nozzle
10. BLTouch for automatic bed meshing
11. Dual part-cooling fans
12. Triple lead-screw Z system for automatic bed tramming/leveling
13. Linear rails on all axes
14. 7-inch tablet for wireless printer control
The printer can also be controlled over Wi-Fi from a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or phone.
I've put many hours into both building and upgrading this machine, along with countless hours of calibration and tuning. There is well over $1,000 in components invested in the printer, and it is capable of producing excellent-quality parts.
Who This Printer Is For
I would not recommend this as someone's first 3D printer. This is an enthusiast's machine for someone who understands 3D printers, enjoys tinkering, and wants an open platform they can continue to modify and improve.
Think of it more like a race car than a commuter car: it rewards someone who understands the machine and enjoys getting the most out of it.
Why I'm Selling
I've since built an enclosed Voron 2.4, and I simply don't have the need—or the space—for two large-format printers.
I'd much rather see this machine go to someone who understands what it is and can appreciate the hardware and work that went into it.
Extras Included
I'll include several useful spare parts and extras for the new owner:
1. A set of critical replacement parts printed in ASA. These can be kept as spares or installed if the new owner decides to enclose the printer and print higher-temperature materials such as ABS or ASA.
2. Partial roll of PLA so the new owner can start printing right away.
3. Spare GT2 belts and bearings
4. Two spare hotend fans
5. Additional miscellaneous spare parts and hardware
Asking $300.
No scammers, phone-number scamming requests or offers without seeing it in person, offers to help sell it, etc. Please use the Craigslist relay for contact. **If the ad is still posted, the printer is still available.**
