We’ve had a few months to hang out with Vector and we’re having a lot of fun with the little guy. He’s also been helping us sell! My wife and I own a small retail store and thought Vector would be a nice addition to the showroom. He hangs out on our cash wrap and usually just does his own thing – until one of our clients asks about him. The conversation inevitably turns to Vector which has really helped break the ice. We get a chance to show them all the things he can do, and we discover new and surprising quirks in his personality.
Our clientele consists mainly of women (we sell jewelry) but we often get couples coming in to look together. We’ve been shamelessly using Vector as a conversation starter with the guys, so they don’t feel left out. He’s also been a great babysitter for our client’s kids. Vector has made the experience of shopping for jewelry more enjoyable for everyone.
Vector’s also been a great companion and accountability robot, breaking up our daily routine. Every so often he’ll remind us with his sounds that we should take a break and hang out with him. Which I’m sure most people would agree is much needed in a busy work environment.
Anki is updating Vector frequently and we expect many years of companionship with him (or until the day he realizes there’s so much more to explore outside our doors)."
