I have 25 years of experience teaching advanced physics and math at several private college-prep schools and at three universities nationwide. I'm no longer working full-time, but I still enjoy helping students master this material. In the 2025–26 school year, my final year of full-time teaching, every AP Physics C student passed both AP exams, averaging 4.22/5 on both Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism.
High School Courses Taught:
PHYSICS
AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: E&M, Honors Physics, Conceptual Physics
MATH
AP Calculus AB, Calculus I–III / Multivariable Calculus, Precalculus & Trigonometry, Linear Algebra
OTHER
Astrophysics, Astronomy, Intro to Python, Mathematical Modeling
College Courses Taught
Physics (Algebra-Based), Physics Labs, Survey of Calculus, Statistics, Astronomy, Astronomy Labs
I'm especially interested in working with motivated high-school and college students who want more than answers to homework problems—they want to understand the material and become better problem solvers.
I'm based in the Oro Valley/north Tucson area and can meet students in person, including the Catalina Foothills area. Online tutoring is also available.
My rates depend on frequency, regularity, and travel distance. Since I do this primarily because I enjoy working with students, I keep my rates reasonable and flexible based on the tutoring arrangement.
I'm currently accepting only a few students and plan to tutor approximately 3–5 hours per week.
If you're interested, message me with the student's course, school/college, what they're currently working on, and what kind of help they're looking for. I'm happy to discuss whether I'd be a good fit.
