What if your fitness program was built around you instead of forcing you into a generic plan? At Valence Health and Fitness Solutions, every client receives an individualized approach based on personal goals, lifestyle, fitness level, and progress over time.
I began my own fitness journey in 1996, making 2026 my 30th year in the gym. Over the years, I’ve continued expanding my education and experience across fitness, nutrition, medicine, health technology, consulting, and product management. My philosophy has been shaped by decades of training myself and working with family, friends, coworkers, and clients: every person responds differently, so every person deserves a program designed specifically for them.
My medical and exercise background also allows me to look beyond popular fitness trends and distinguish between ideas that simply sound good, approaches supported by scientific evidence, and strategies that are appropriate and practical for the individual in front of me. Your program isn’t something you receive once and follow forever. It evolves as your body, goals, abilities, and circumstances change.
My experience includes Doctor of Medicine, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Exercise Is Medicine certification through the American College of Sports Medicine, Exercise Physiology through Stanford Medicine, Physical Activity and Public Health specialization, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association. I am also pursuing additional specialization in obesity-related fitness and nutrition and have professional experience in consulting, education, product management, and health and fitness technology.
My consulting background has included work related to preventive health, disease prevention, nutrition, population health, chronic disease management, cancer research, surgical technology, stem-cell companies, fitness equipment, and health-tracking innovations. This combination of medical knowledge, fitness experience, and technology exposure informs the way I approach coaching.
I also believe that meaningful progress isn’t always about obsessing over a number on a scale. Small changes in daily habits can influence how you feel and function. For example, consistent hydration, getting to bed earlier, and practicing slow, controlled breathing can become useful habits that support broader wellness goals. The objective is to create sustainable behaviors rather than chase short-term fixes.
Clients have reported meaningful changes in body composition, strength, mobility, confidence, and everyday performance. Some have described fitting into significantly smaller clothing, improving their physical capabilities, feeling better during demanding activities, or enjoying exercise more than they ever expected. Individual results vary, but the focus remains on helping each person make measurable and sustainable progress.
Valence Health and Fitness Solutions has been recognized with the Global Health and Pharma Active Lifestyle Award 2026 for Personalized Fitness & Nutrition Coaching Service in Northern California.
