Midnight House is a Tucson five-piece looking primarily for a drummer, and potentially one additional instrumentalist if the right person comes along.
Our sound blends Fleetwood Mac-style ’70s melodic rock, Slowdive-style shoegaze, Enya-inspired ethereal textures, and Steve Roach-style ambient atmosphere. We play originals along with covers rearranged around our sound.
Current lineup is lap steel, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keys and bass, with five vocalists.
DRUMMER: This is our priority. Ideally looking for someone in their 20s–50s who is reliable and collaborative. Vocals are welcome but not required.
WILD CARD: We're especially interested in saxophone, trumpet, theremin or violin. If you're good at one of those and this sounds like your kind of project, we'd absolutely like to hear from you. If you play something else you think would fit particularly well, feel free to pitch it.
We currently practice Sundays around 11 AM near 1st Ave and Prince. Our current space can't accommodate a drum kit, so a drummer with access to a practice space is strongly preferred. We may be able to arrange another location, but can't guarantee it.
We're LGBTQ+ friendly and racially inclusive. Musical and interpersonal chemistry will ultimately determine who joins.
We already have several songs ready and are starting with open mics while building toward longer shows.
