Argus Machine is seeking a first shift CNC Mill operator to make prototype and production parts. Our company is an AS9100, growing shop that manufactures tight tolerance components for multiple local industries.
Job Description:
We are looking for self-motivated individuals that have good machining discipline and some experience with tight tolerance machining to work in out clean, friendly environment. 1st shift 6:00 am.-4:00 p.m., M-Th plus OT.
Job Requirements:
• Ability to do all shop math functions associated with inspection procedures and/or setups.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
• Maintain traveler package, complete and maintain appropriate quality records and data entry, and physically move product within the department.
• Full working knowledge of all types of precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Ability to read G-code and make some programming changes at the machine when directed.
• Ability to operate CNC Mill (Haas, Okuma) machines for many different components.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with machine operators, peers, and management.
• Able to lift, load and handle various size production parts up to and including 50 pounds.
• Must have demonstrated ability to take initiative, be proactive and act with minimal oversight/direct supervision.
• Must be discipline in good machining techniques and willing to be trained to our method of running jobs.
• Must be accurate, clean, and detailed.
• Good attendance and communication skills.
• Must be honest.
• Must have own basic tools and measuring instruments.
• References must be available and will be checked.
• Must be able to pass drug test.
