This small block chevy came out of my 1975 GMC squarebody. It ran great, collapsed a lifter with the stock cam and prompted me to do a Cam swap (actually never flattened the cam so no metal through engine), but I never could get the cam dialed in. That with no converter persuaded me to swap in my LS I had ready on a stand for a while. This engine has 82k original miles and never smoked or consumed oil. This block is a 3970010 cast but I never fully pulled the pan to confirm if it's a 4 bolt main (all sources point to it being a 4 bolt since it was in a K15 4x4).
Has a new Comp cam kit (part number 12-250-3, 240/246 @ .50) with lifters, Comp timing set, Comp push rods, new valve seals, vintage Weiand dual plane intake, Holley 750 double pumper (rebuilt), Comp dual valve springs, Milodon timing cover, new ignition system with igniter (does not come with wires). Will come with the squarebody accessories and Long tube headers (PS pump is new and headers only ran for break in +2 miles or so) and will include the engine stand that it is on.
With how the timing is set, it will fire and run instantly, but has a miss that i feel like is pushrod length related as i never checked it (dumb i know). I'd put better flowing heads and it'll be a great hot rod engine. you can see which cylinders had the miss based off the finish on the headers not being cooked like the others. Please ask any questions if any.
