The Gibson Firebird Zero
The Firebird Zero was designed as a lightweight, affordable option to bring players into the Gibson USA brand, though it received mixed reviews regarding its build quality and unique features.
Body & Neck: It features a solid poplar body with a glued-in, one-piece maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a slim taper profile, catering to fast playing styles. The body shape is a revised, smaller non-reverse Firebird design.
Pickups & Electronics: The guitar is equipped with USA-made Gibson DS-C humbucker pickups, which utilize ceramic magnets and provide a hot, aggressive, high-output tone suitable for rock and metal. It has a simple control layout with one master volume, one master tone, and a three-way pickup selector switch.
Hardware: To keep the price low, it uses chrome-plated, no-name hardware, including mini-button tuners and a non-adjustable wraparound bridge/tailpiece. This bridge was a point of criticism for some owners who found it difficult to achieve a low action setup.
Finish: The guitar has a thin nitrocellulose finish, with a light gloss on the body and a satin finish on the neck
