1969 MGB Wire Wheel Conversion Setup (Rear Axle, Hubs, 5 Wheels & Knockoffs)
Price: $925 (located in Tucson, Az)
Complete wire-wheel conversion package removed from a 1969 MGB. Should include everything needed to convert a steel-wheel car to classic wire rims or replace a worn set.
I'll add some better pictures of the wire rims and knockoffs very soon...
Package Includes:
• Rear Axle Assembly: Complete 1969 tube-type rear end with wire-wheel splined hubs installed (drum-to-drum). Backing plates have been removed – started to clean and paint, but got distracted (will need new brake pads obviously). Gear ratio unknown at this time, but should be 3.90 or 4.10.
• Front Hubs: Pair of front splined wire-wheel hubs – clean and painted
• 5 Wire Wheels: 4 silver-painted wire wheels with relatively new inner tubes + 1 unpainted spare wheel (needs minor cosmetic work).
• Knockoffs: Set of 4 spinners/knockoff caps – have a couple different styles, big wrench style and true knock off with brass hammer.
Condition:
• Vintage condition with standard cosmetic wear – pretty good actually – they haven’t been on the road since the 1990s.
• Tires are dated and recommended for replacement, but hold air for loading / moving around.
Terms: Cash only on pickup. Heavy items; local pickup preferred. Message with any questions!
