GLISS Staffing in Tualatin is hiring certified flaggers to join our team and work on job sites throughout the Portland Metro area! This is a great opportunity for individuals who are reliable, safety-focused, and interested in working outdoors in a fast-paced environment. Certified flaggers are encouraged to apply. For those who are not currently certified, certification may be available with a required fee.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
Control traffic flow and ensure safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians around work zones
Set up and maintain traffic control areas according to safety guidelines
Use hand signals, signs, and communication devices to direct traffic
Communicate with construction crews and supervisors to maintain a safe work environment
Monitor work zones and report any safety concerns
Follow all traffic control and job site safety procedures
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Schedule Details:
Day shift available
Night shifts available depending on job needs
Flexible assignments throughout the Portland Metro area
Qualifications:
Current flagger certification preferred
Certification option available for those who qualify (fee required)
Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites
Must have all required safety gear and PPE
Must be dependable and arrive on time
Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Strong communication and attention to safety
