I am looking to hire an experienced, independent low-voltage technician, smart home installer, or skilled handyman to complete a custom, off-grid security camera installation at my property.
All equipment is on-site and ready to go. There is NO dangerous high-voltage electrical work involved. This is a 100% low-voltage 12V DC system.
The Job Requirements:
1. Roof Mount: Securely mount an existing large, aluminum-framed solar panel onto the roof using generic Z-brackets (requires proper weatherproofing/silicone sealant on the roof screws).
2. Battery Box Setup: Mount a small, weatherproof project box near the array to house a 12V backup battery, a solar charge controller, and a low-voltage SPDT relay switch.
3. Low-Voltage Wiring: Wire the components together using a simple, step-by-step 12V wiring schematic that I will provide. This connects the solar array to the camera with a 12V wall plug adapter override for backup power.
4. Camera Mounting & Activation: Mount a Reolink TrackMix cellular camera to the exterior wall, insert the 4G data SIM card, and ensure the camera powers up successfully.
What I Provide:
• All hardware (4K cellular camera, activated SIM card, solar panel, roof mounts).
• All electrical components (12V charge controller, automatic relay switch, 12V backup battery, cords).
• Clean, easy-to-follow wiring instructions.
What I'll work on:
1. Ordering and Activating a 4G SIM Card
2. I'll provide a packet for the Installer with Instruction & Schematic Sheet.
3. I'll lookup and Write Down my Server Credentials - private server's Local IP Address, Port Number, Username, and you will walk me through setting up the Password on a 4K private cloud transmission but we'll have to review all of this together before you come out.
What You Must Bring:
• Your own tools (drill, ladder for roof access, wire strippers, roofing sealant/caulk gun).
• Experience with basic low-voltage wiring, solar setups, or security system installations.
• Reliability and a focus on neat, clean cable management.
Please reply with:
1. Your price quote (let me know if this is a Flat Rate or an Hourly Rate).
2. Your estimated length of time to complete the entire setup.
3. Your availability this week and a brief mention of your experience with similar low-voltage or handyman work.
Send me your phone # and email, if you prefer, as CL hides it.
Thanks!
