Growing fabrication and event production shop in Shadow Hills is looking for a hard-working installer/fabrication assistant to join our team.
Starting pay is $19/hour, for the first two weeks then bumping up to 21/hr on the 3rd week with opportunities for overtime, bonuses and advancement. Weekends and late nights will be needed occasionally as jobs require.f
The primary job is installing custom backdrops, signage, displays and event builds throughout Los Angeles. When you're not on an install, you'll work in our shop helping organize, and get things unloaded and cleaned up and the shop looking great for customers.
We are looking for someone who likes to work, learns quickly and doesn't need to be constantly told what to do. Our jobs can be fast paced and occasionally involve early mornings, late nights, long days and last-minute changes.
You should:
• Have a valid driver's license and a driving record clean enough for company insurance.
• Be comfortable driving Sprinter vans and U-Haul style box trucks
• Be able to lift 50+ lbs
• Be punctual and reliable
• Be comfortable using basic hand and power tools
• Be willing to clean, organize, load trucks and help wherever needed
• Be comfortable working on ladders
• Be able to take direction and corrections without taking it personally
• Ideally live reasonably close to Sun Valley
• Potentially work Wednesday through Sunday.
Experience in any construction, carpentry, event production, signage, vinyl installation, painting or fabrication is a plus, but we're willing to train the right person.
There is a lot of room to learn here. Our shop works with woodworking, CNC, vinyl graphics, large-format printing, laser cutting, 3D printing and custom fabrication. Someone who comes in hungry to learn can become much more than an installer.
If you're the kind of person who sees something that needs to be done and just does it, we'd like to meet you.
Send a short introduction, your work experience/resume, where you're located, and why you think you'd be a good fit.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
