THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:
> Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) in BC.
> Has a completed Orthodontic Module.
> Has orthodontic assisting experience, preferably in a clinical orthodontic practice.
> Newer orthodontic assistants with the right attitude and strong clinical fundamentals are also encouraged to apply.
> Is confident, organized, reliable, and patient-focused.
> Enjoys working with children, teenagers, and families.
> Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
> Works well as part of a team.
> Is interested in learning, developing, and growing with the practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
> Instrument sterilization.
> Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
> Prepare the treatment room with necessary instruments and materials.
> Appliance delivery, adjustments and removal.
> Lab work as needed.
> Patient education re braces, appliance wear and care.
> Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
> Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
> Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
> Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering.
> Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations
> Helping create a positive and comfortable experience for children, teens, and adults.
