I moved into a 1907 house that needs a fair amount of work near Kansas Expressway & Division. I've managed small mom&pop rentals, so I know what a capable handyman can do. I can pay by the hour or by the bid, but I am looking for an all around handyman & can't afford 'contractor' prices.
1) Crawl support: I did some work 2 years ago, but it needs to be expanded. I want to put in a supporting girder, & piers of pads & concrete blocks, wood & shims. Like all crawl spaces, the access & height is small
2) Roof: I have a one old layer of 3 tab shingles & I’d like to put a 2nd layer on top of it. It’s quite steeply sloped
3) Some misc; removing old gas pipe, maybe replacing weak porch stairs, replace a bath faucet, maybe cover a sloped back porch ceiling so it looks civilized.
I have pictures & will require before & after pictures of the work done. I pay labor when the job is finished, so local references will save time for both of us.
