BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE Stain-Blocking Paint and Primer is an interior paint that's too tough to scuff and sets a new standard for paint durability. BEHR ULTRA SCUFF DEFENSE features breakthrough innovation to deliver a rich finish that is truly durable enough for high-traffic areas. This lush, versatile sheen creates a pearl-like appearance that's ideal for the walls but also for trim, doors, cabinets and indoor furniture. For best application, use a high quality 3/8 in. - 1/2 in. nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or airless sprayer (0.015 in. - 0.019 in. spray tip, 60 mesh filter)
Use BEHR ULTRA scuff defense paint as a primer for properly prepared uncoated or painted interior surfaces, including woods that contain tannins (2 primer coats required for redwood and cedar) and heavily stained areas
Lock in stains with BEHR ULTRA scuff defense paint as a spot primer, for heavy stains, test for stain bleed-through by applying BEHR ULTRA scuff defens paint to a small section, if stain bleeds through, spot prime another coat to the stained area and test again before top coating, if bleeding continues, a longer dry time is needed before top coating
Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50°F 90°F (10°C-32°C), darker colors may require additional dry time between coats, cooler temperatures or higher humidity may prolong drying time
