About the Role:
- Receive incoming production materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and system records.
- Perform physical and system receiving transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, labeling issues, and quantity discrepancies, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Move materials safely throughout the factory, including receiving, IQC staging, warehouse storage, production supermarkets, and production lines.
- Stock inventory according to established storage strategies while maintaining accurate locations and traceability.
- Organize inventory based on material classifications, FIFO requirements, and designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure inventory is properly identified, labeled, stored, and protected to maintain quality and traceability.
- Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled storage locations, staging areas, and production supermarkets using strong 5S principles.
- Consolidate inventory, optimize storage utilization, and identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization and material flow.
- Replenish production lines based on established Min/Max levels and production priorities.
- Perform material transfers, binning, kitting, and point-of-use replenishment.
- Support IQC by staging materials for inspection and returning inspected materials to the appropriate inventory locations.
- Complete physical and system inventory transactions to maintain accurate records.
- Perform routine cycle counts, inventory audits, and location audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, research inventory history, and help resolve root causes.
- Identify material shortages, inventory issues, and process gaps and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Remove obsolete, excess, scrap, quarantined, or inactive materials from production areas while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Support the movement of finished assemblies and subassemblies between manufacturing operations, finished-goods storage, and outbound shipping.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare outbound shipments as needed.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Follow standardized work instructions while identifying opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, inventory accuracy, and material flow.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, logistics, inventory control, or material handling.
- Strong understanding of warehouse organization, inventory control, and material-storage best practices.
- Experience working with ERP, WMS, MRP, or inventory-management systems.
- Experience completing accurate physical and system inventory transactions.
- Experience maintaining accurate inventory locations and resolving discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Must have high school diploma.
