What follows is this temporary owner's description (unboxed in 2025, ridden once to the bike shop):
The Serial 1 brand name is a reference to the first Harley Davidson motorbike called the Serial Number One, which was a pedal-start moped. The brand is actually a spinoff from Harley Davidson, and they operate independently.
Serial 1 made this first generation RUSH/CTY-Speed electric bicycle to be sold at Harley-Davidson dealerships for $5599!
They lowered it to $4999 at some point, and even let Best Buy sell some for less than that.
The Gen 2 version is now promoted on Serial 1's website for a saner $3499 (without the Harley insignia), but I've been watching it for more than a year now and it has yet to be available (in pre-order status for freakin' ever?)
They are, however, still selling Gen 1 compatible parts online, including replacement batteries, directly to consumers. www.Serial1.com
