We are a small, certified organic lemon farm in Soquel looking for a reliable, hardworking, physically fit person(s) to help spread organic compost under our lemon trees.
Job Responsibilities:
-Fill 5-gallon buckets approximately half to three-quarters full with organic compost.
-Carry and spread the compost around the base of lemon trees.
-Work on hilly terrain, including some steep areas.
-If you have weed whacking experience: work around individual trees where the drip lines created weed growth, being ultra careful not to hit the trunk. Weed whacker supplied.
This is physically demanding work, so you should be comfortable lifting and carrying buckets and walking on uneven ground. Think of it as a great gym workout in a beautiful outdoor setting and getting paid for it!
Qualifications:
-Reliable, honest, and hardworking.
-A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
-Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors on hillsides.
-Must have reliable transportation.
Previous farm or landscaping experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, ideal for someone who already has another job, is attending school, or wants to earn some extra income.
We will coordinate the workdays and arrival times based on mutual availability.
