Job description
We are helping our client hire a Vehicle Testing Specialist to be responsible for daily testing activities for its autonomous vehicle programs.
In this role, you will prepare autonomous vehicles for testing, execute test plans, evaluate vehicle and software functionality, and report on testing outcomes to provide crucial information for the software development teams.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, ADAS, or related automotive testing and a strong understanding of the hardware and software systems that enable autonomous driving. You can confidently identify and discuss common vehicle sensors, such as cameras and radar, understand their role within an autonomous system, and take a methodical approach to preparing vehicles and systems for testing.
Training Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9AM-5:30PM (2-3 weeks)
Available Days:
Thursday-Monday, Sunday-Thursday, or Tuesday-Sunday
Available Shifts:
AM: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or PM: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
As a Vehicle Testing Specialist, you'll:
Prepare AV and ADAS development vehicles for testing and execute established test plans.
Assess vehicle hardware and software readiness and identify issues that could affect testing or vehicle functionality.
Coordinate and improve testing procedures together with software engineers and operations teams.
Provide detailed notes and formal reports of testing activities and results.
Work with the vehicle operators to conduct testing professionally and efficiently.
Be a safety champion for the vehicle testing programs.
Do you have:
● Experience with software development practices
● Experience with Linux
● Experience with software tools/services like Slack, Jira, and Confluence
● Experience with Google Workspace
● Prior experience with ADAS, Autonomous Vehicles, or other Automotive work
Daily tasks
● Execute test plans on AV & ADAS development vehicles
● Coordinate and improve testing procedures together with SW engineers and operations teams
● Provide detailed notes and formal reports of testing activities and results
● Work with Vehicle Operators to conduct testing professionally and efficiently
● Be a safety champion for our vehicle testing programs
Required skills
● 2+ years hardware or software testing, data entry, or similar technical experience ● Experience with troubleshooting issues on computers or other hardware ● Demonstrated themselves to be detail-oriented ● A collaborative mindset and deep interest in understanding the functionality of autonomy software.
