Thinking about opening a restaurant, retail store, or service business, or expanding to a new location? Picking the wrong site is one of the most expensive mistakes a business can make. Connect 5 Development helps you get it right the first time.
We are a site identification and market entry consultancy with 10+ years of multi-unit retail operations leadership behind every recommendation. We don't just pull listings off a website. We do the on-the-ground legwork, the demographic analysis, and the hard numbers so you can make a confident, informed decision, whether your target is right here in the San Diego metro or anywhere across the country.
What we do:
-Trade area and demographic analysis to find where your customers actually are
-On-site canvassing and field research across candidate locations
-Scored, ranked site comparison so you can see exactly why one space beats another
-Co-tenancy and competitive analysis (who's nearby and why it matters)
-Lease economics benchmarking so you don't overpay
-Direct broker outreach to surface unlisted and pre-market spaces
-Full written site report with photos, floor considerations, and a clear recommendation
Who we work with:
Restaurants and food concepts, retailers, franchisees, service businesses, medical and specialty concepts, and multi-unit operators looking to grow. Whether you're opening your first location or your fifteenth, whether it's a new restaurant in the Gaslamp Quarter or North Park, a retail concept in La Jolla or Carlsbad, or a multi-market franchise rollout along the I-15 corridor, we bring the operational discipline of a seasoned retail executive to your site search.
We know the San Diego market inside and out: the traffic patterns, the growth corridors, the neighborhoods on the rise, and the spots that look good on paper but underperform in reality. And we bring that same rigor to markets nationwide, so distance is never a barrier to finding you the right location.
We've done this for national brands and independent operators alike. Now we'd like to do it for you.
Serving clients nationally. Travel is not a problem.
