Software Architect looking for a 1-bedroom apartment (Los Angeles)

Hey all,
I'm a Software Architect working in aerospace with great credit, income, and references. I'm from the South Bay, but I want to live on the westside or mid-city. I'm looking for a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony that gets at least 8 hours of sun for my plants, AC, and parking. My upper limit is $3k a month. I do not want to share an apartment or housing with others.
