Robin Yount collected his 3,000th career hit on September 9, 1992, at Milwaukee County Stadium. Playing for the Milwaukee Brewers, the Hall of Famer singled to right-center field in the seventh inning off Cleveland Indians reliever José Mesa. He became the 17th player in MLB history to reach the milestone.
