Emmi’s Sierra Madre is seeking a skilled and experienced Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure that every guest receives high quality and delicious food.
Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare food items according to the restaurant’s standards, menu, and recipes.
-Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.
-Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
-Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment.
-Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, hygiene, and food handling.
Candidates will possess the following qualifications:
-Availability Saturday and Sunday, typical shifts start 7am-3:30pm
-Valid experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant setting (preferred).
-Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
-Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and menu specifications.
-Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
-Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
-ServSafe Certified or CA food handler equivalent
-Must be able to read and communicate in English when needed
Part time hours to start, Always more hours available to successful candidates.
