Hello! I'm currently looking for an apartment with a move-in date before November 14th. I'm a 26-year-old working professional with a monthly income of approximately $4,500, and I'm primarily interested in Rogers Park, Edgewater, West Ridge, or Uptown. A one-bedroom would be ideal, but I'm also very open to studios.
I have two cats and, in early 2027, I would like to add my long-distance partner to the lease. I wanted to be upfront about this from the beginning.
My credit score is currently between 550–580, primarily due to older student loan debt and a credit card balance that I did not manage responsibly in the past. However, I have a consistent history of paying rent and utilities on time and have never had a late payment. I'm happy to provide references from previous landlords and would be open to discussing a larger security deposit or working with a cosigner service if needed.
