I’m a small, locally owned plumbing business looking for a reliable, physically capable person to help with day-to-day work.
This is an entry-level position that would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, likes staying active, and is looking for flexible part-time hours.
What the work involves:
* Transporting tools, equipment and materials to and from residential job sites.
* Loading and unloading the work truck.
* Regularly lifting and carrying tool bags and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs in and out of a work truck. This involves stepping up and down from a relatively high truck bed.
* Occasional heavier lifting, including equipment weighing up to 80 lbs from ground level.
* Using dollies and other equipment to move heavier items.
* Setting up and organizing tools and materials.
* General assistance and cleanup at job sites.
What I’m looking for:
* Physically fit and comfortable with lifting and carrying.
* Reliable, punctual and personable.
* Comfortable working in and around people’s homes.
* Basic familiarity with hand tools is an asset.
* A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
* No plumbing experience necessary.
Hours & Compensation:
* $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
* Part-time, with flexible and variable hours.
* Typical working hours are approximately 10 AM – 3 PM.
* Work starts in Sechelt. Reliable transportation to and from the starting location is required
* If you are located in Sechelt but do not have a vehicle, I may be able to provide transportation.
* Travel between job sites is provided in my work vehicle.
A unique opportunity:
This position could be a great fit for someone with an existing small business or self-employment who is looking to supplement their income with some additional work. The ability to invoice for hours worked would be a bonus, but is not a requirement.
I’m looking for someone who appreciates a flexible schedule and doesn’t mind physical, hands-on work. I’m a small operation, so reliability, a good attitude and getting along well are important.
