CNC Lathe Setup & Operator — $30–$35/Hour
Santee, CA | 1st Shift | Every Other Friday Off
We’re hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Setup & Operator to produce precision aerospace components. Bring your ability to set up machines, run parts, and inspect your work to a shop using Doosan and Mori lathes. Setup and operating experience with other CNC lathe brands is welcome.
Schedule — 9/80
Monday–Thursday: 5:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Alternating Fridays: 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., with every other Friday off.
Weekends off.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes for turning, boring, threading, and facing.
Install tooling and work holding, establish offsets, and make machining adjustments.
Produce parts within blueprint specifications and tolerances.
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
Monitor tool wear, troubleshoot machining issues, and report equipment malfunctions.
Complete routine cleaning, inspections, and basic maintenance.
Maintain production records and follow safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC lathes; two or more years preferred.
Ability to read blueprints, follow work instructions, and identify tooling.
Experience checking dimensions with precision measuring instruments.
Mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment
Prolonged standing, repetitive movements, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The shop is not temperature controlled.
Pay: $30–$35/hour, depending on experience.
