What is the job?: Landscape maintenance, lawn, plant, bush and tree care, construction projects, moving materials, clean-up work, blowing, irrigation repair, digging holes and other outside work in a private estate.
• Ability to take instructions and follow established procedures.
• Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques, planting, and caring for plants, bushes, and trees, lawn maintenance and
fertilizing; basic use and care of hand tools
• Ability to focus on specific tasks, must be organized, on time, and work on your own.
• Ability to use construction and landscape tools, maintain vehicles.
• Clean driving record is necessary. Must be able to drive a stick shift tractor
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Stand, and walk up to 90% of the time.
• Ability to work independently; self-motivated, we need a go-getter type person.
• Knowledge of the pruning and trimming of fruit trees, roses, and other perennial plants is a plus
• You must have reliable transportation to work and be on time.
Non-smoking on property. No drugs and no alcohol use on the property.
A background check and ongoing drug testing may be conducted.
This is a private residence, we are not a landscape company.
Minimum of two years of actual landscape maintenance experience and prefer some construction helper, carpenter experience. Experience with a landscape company or tree service is very helpful
Usual Hours: Full Time (Hours 8 a.m. 4 p.m. 40 hours per week or more as needed.
Compensation Negotiable: $20 minimum AND UP per hour depending on your skills and experience.
This is day labor off books, no taxes or reporting, you can work all seasons.
You can work parttime if you have get it done landscape skills.
This is a good opportunity for someone who wants a long term job. If you can demonstrate that you can do this job it is possible to live on the premises in a trailer for low rent with utilities.
