We’re a growing general contracting company looking for a good Superintendent who knows how to run a job and doesn’t need someone looking over their shoulder all day.
We’re doing custom homes and some light commercial work, and I’m looking for someone who can take a project from start to finish — keeping the subs moving, staying on top of the schedule, catching problems early, and making sure the job is built right.
Basically, I need someone who can run the show and be my eyes and ears in the field.
I need to be able to trust that when you're running a job, things are getting handled. I don't want to micromanage you, but I do want someone who keeps me in the loop, sees what's coming, communicates what's going on, and brings solutions instead of just bringing problems.
The right person:
Has solid experience running custom homes or light commercial projects
Can manage subs, schedules, inspections, deliveries, and the day-to-day stuff
Knows how to read plans and understands construction from the ground up
Pays attention to the details
Can solve problems without needing to call me every five minutes
Keeps me informed and acts as my eyes and ears on the job
Takes pride in a clean, organized, well-run jobsite
Shows up, communicates, and does what they say they're going to do
Is motivated and wants to keep growing
We’re a start-up, so things are going to move a little differently than they would at a big established GC. There’s a lot of opportunity to make your mark, have some freedom, and help shape how we do things.
If you do a great job and we work well together, there’s definitely potential for ongoing work and more responsibility as the company grows.
I'm not looking for someone who just wants to punch a clock.
I'm looking for someone I can trust, rely on, and eventually hand a job to and know it's being taken care of.
Someone who sees something that needs to be done and handles it.
Someone who can say, “I’ve got it.”
If that sounds like you, let's talk.
