Hours: Wed-Fri, and every other weekend, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
34-36 hrs per week
Starting pay 18.00 per hour, higher pay negotiable with substantial horse experience.
Our hands are the lifeline for our horses and donkeys. We count on them to show up, rain or shine, and put the animal’s welfare first. You put heard dedication into our animals and our ranch, and we do the same for you.
Responsibilities:
—Horse care: cleaning stalls, pens, watering feeding, nutrition supplements, grooming and caring for equines.
—Grounds maintenance: stall and pen maintenance, raking hay, removing weeds.
Requirements:
—Super reliable
—Ability to lift 65 lbs
—Good judgment, strong communication skills, teamwork and clear, timely communication with owner and other hands to ensure correct and consistent care and feeding
—Physical fitness and outdoor work readiness
—Flexibility to work holidays and trade shifts
—Valid SSN, driver’s license, reliable transportation
—Smoke-free, alcohol-free work environment
Desired Qualifications:
—Knowledge of horse health and welfare, horse handling (but we are willing to teach the right candidate)
—Other animal experience
—Live within 30-minute drive of Lone Butte/San Marcos area
