Professional Company looking to hire a Dishwasher/assistant prep cook for school cafeteria. We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to assist in keeping our kitchen running smoothly. As a dishwasher, you’ll play a key role in maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring our students enjoy the best dining experience possible. As an Assistant Prep Cook, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen operations. Monday through Friday - 6:45am to 2:45pm.
Responsibilities
• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools.
• Asist in preparing ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other appliances
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict sanitation standards
• Assist in meal preparation for service, ensuring timely delivery of quality food
• Follow food safety protocols related to handling, storage, and temperature control to prevent contamination
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations
• Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes and ingredient needs when necessary
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to keep service flowing efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and sinks.
• Assist with basic food prep or kitchen tasks when needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

• Qualifications
• Must have food handlers’ certificate from ServSafe.
• Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred
• Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
