A local vacation rental and property management company is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to help keep our homes well cared for and ready to welcome guests.
This hands-on role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active, and taking pride in the details that make a home feel welcoming.
Position Overview
The Quality Control Technician helps ensure every home is well cared for and ready to welcome guests. This hands-on role includes pre-stay and post-stay inspections, property setup, home-tending, and operational support. Attention to detail, excellent communication, and consistently high standards are essential to delivering the thoughtful hospitality our guests expect.
Responsibilities
● Pre-stay inspections and setup: Follow established checklists to confirm cleanliness, presentation, supplies, and proper operation of household systems. Complete setup tasks and light cleaning touch-ups. Report larger cleaning concerns promptly so housekeeping can return.
● Exterior readiness: Prepare outdoor areas, including cleaning grills and outdoor furniture, leaf blowing, and light snow shoveling as needed.
● Post-stay inspections: Inspect homes after departure, document damage or missing items, identify maintenance needs, and secure the property.
● Home-tending: Check unoccupied homes for property issues such as water intrusion, plumbing concerns, or pest activity. Complete routine preventive tasks according to company checklists.
● Minor property tasks: Complete straightforward tasks such as replacing accessible lightbulbs and batteries.
● Inventory and supplies: Assist with office organization, inventory checks, restocking, and reporting shortages or replacement needs.
● Reporting: Promptly provide the Support Team with clear notes and photos of damage, maintenance concerns, and other findings. Escalate urgent issues immediately. The Support Team coordinates and tracks reported issues through completion.
● Operational support: Put trash bins out and return them after collection, meet vendors to facilitate property access, and assist with property-related pickups and deliveries.
● Guest and vendor interactions: Represent SFVR professionally, communicate courteously, and help address practical needs within the scope of the role.

● Clear, timely communication with colleagues, guests, homeowners, and vendors.
