Position: Server / Backwaiter – Evening Service
Compensation: $8-10/hour + pooled tips
Tender Fire Kitchen is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, hospitality-minded people to join our Front of House team!
We're a lively, community-driven restaurant in Santa Fe specializing in wood-fired sourdough pizza, seasonal dishes, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients. We believe great hospitality is about more than delivering good food. It's about creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels genuinely cared for.

About the Role:
We operate with a Server & Backwaiter model, meaning all Front of House team members are cross-trained and work shifts in both positions.
As a Server, you'll:
- Welcome guests and create a warm, engaging dining experience.
- Guide guests through our menu, specials, and beverage offerings.
- Take orders, manage table pacing, and anticipate guest needs.
- Maintain attentive, thoughtful service from arrival through departure.
- Work closely with the kitchen and fellow team members to ensure smooth service.
As a Backwaiter, you'll:
- Support the entire dining room by running food and drinks.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently.
- Maintain water service and assist with guest needs.
- Help servers stay ahead during busy service.
- Keep the restaurant organized, stocked, and ready for guests.
Both positions are equally important to our success. We're looking for people who understand that great service is a team effort and are happy to jump in wherever they're needed.
Who We're Looking For:
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
- Genuine enthusiasm for food, people, and hospitality.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset — someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and continually improve.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts. 2-3 shifts per week minimum requirement. We are open Thursday - Monday
