Ninja Warrior Program Director – Founding Team Opportunity
SC Rising Gymnastics Academy is a new competitve gymnastics and Ninja Warrior facility coming to Santa Cruz, with an anticipated opening in January 2027.
We are looking for a motivated, creative person to help build our Ninja Warrior program from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Help design the Ninja Warrior area, including obstacles, equipment, layout, and flow.
- Research existing Ninja Warrior curriculum platforms and determine whether to adopt, modify, or develop our own.
- Develop age-and skill-appropriate classes, levels, and progressions.
- Help establish safety standards, coaching procedures, and program structure.
- Research equipment and make recommendations.
- Help recruit and train future Ninja Warrior coaches.
- Help build the program into a strong recreational and, eventually, competitive program.
Qualifications:
Previous Ninja Warrior, gymnastics, parkour, obstacle course, or coaching experience is a plus, but NOT required.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organized, creative, and self-motivated
- A strong researcher and problem solver
- Passionate about working with children and athletes
- Excited about building something from the ground up
- Able to work collaboratively with a community-based founding team
This is a unique opportunity to join a community-based organization of people donating their time and expertise to bring a new gymnastics and Ninja Warrior facility to Santa Cruz.
Compensation: This is initially a pre-opening development position. Paid employment will begin once the gym opens and begins operating. The anticipated opening is January 2027.
