Hello Parents and Students,
My name is Eric Johnson. I am offering to tutor Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus. At the public schools, these are Math 1, Math 2, Math 3 and Pre-Calculus. I have been a private tutor in person since 2005. I have tutored by Zoom since 2021. I hold a BA degree in Math from Pomona College in 1989. I was a math tutor at a Sylvan Learning Center in Palm Desert from 2000-2005.
I will charge $20/hour on Zoom and $25/hour in person. I can tutor in person in Santa Barbara and Montecito only.
As for Zoom, I invite your student to a session. Most if not all students have their work on an Ipad. You will sign into Zoom on a home computer and then share screen your homework or test prep material. We will work on problems. Your student is expected to do a fair share of their work on their own. I do have a whiteboard to demonstrate how to work out problems that your student does not understand.
As for in person, I have travelled to homes or Starbucks.
I generally work after school until 9 pm. On the weekends, I have time too.
Recommendations are available upon request.
If you are interested in my services then it is best to text me at 805-709-7482. You can also email through Craigslist if you prefer. Thank you. Eric.
